My Stangs

I like Stangs esp. 1968 - Present  My Favorite Stang would have to be the 1968 Shelby GT500KR Convert in white w/blue interior and blue racing stripes.

I will try and add more photos of my GT and other Stangs as I get photos scanned.  As well as updating the page with my latest mods.

My current daily driver is a 1992 GT HB in Oxford white w/custom tu-tone Ruby-Red Pearl over the factory white on the black trim, ground effects, and the 5-star ponies.

Mods to date are:

Body: Cervini Mach1 functional ram air hood, Cervini Stalker front bumper.

Suspension/Chassis: Eibach Pro springs, Koni yellow sports struts & shocks (upgraded from Koni reds), McCastor plates, Griggs pan-hard rod, Maier Racing STB, lower chassis brace, Sub-frame connectors, 245/50/16's rear and 225/50/16's up front.  Currently working on a very low budget brake upgrade to SN95 Cobra 13" 4whl 5lug disks with 93 Saleen SSC 17"x8.8" I will post more on this after I finish, but by the time I am finished I will have the whole upgrade including the wheels for under $700.  The wheels I picked up used for $400 (too good to pass up)  This kit costs around $1500 from most aftermarket sources, so I think I am making out very well at under $700 for everything but tires.  I already have the front spindles and hubs from a 95LX with ABS, so I am considering adding ABS if I can find a controller at the local U-Pull-It.

Exhaust:
  Mac equal-length shorties, Mac 2 1/2" H-pipe, Flowmaster 3chamber 2 1/2" cat back system.

A few things in the engine compartment have changed since I created this page and I currently do not have a photo scanned of the engine compartment, but here is the new toys:
Ken Bell GT40 1500 series blower, GT40 lower fully ported by Ron Anderson Motorsports, Pro-M77 MAF kit and Optimizer, had to scrap the underdrive pulleys for the blower, shortbelt bypassing the smog pump, Jacobs High Energy coil and wires, Optima Yellow top (upgrade from Red top), Crane adj. FPR, Walboro 255lph intank FP, 3 core Pep Boys brass radiator, Motorcraft dual electric fans.

Interior: 1979 Indy Pace Car Recaro front seats, AutoMeter Boost gauge, Tunes by Alpine, Phoenix Gold, HiFonics, and OZ Audio.

Still looking to add:  GT40 Turbo Swirl alum heads, Accufab 75mm throttle body, 36lph injectors, Dynotech Flowzilla intake and race bypass for the blower, Crane ignition module with retard, Roll cage, 5lug 4wheel disks w/Saleen SSC 17" wheels.  I still want to do the JBA wide body kit, but I do not want to cut my quarters to do so.  Until someone smacks the back of my car it will stay stock.

The Whipple Charger is awesome. It has tons of torque at 2k rpms, and will smoke off the tires when cruising in 3rd gear and munching the gas.  I plan on going to the track next Wen to get some new times, but my last run before they told me I could not make anymore passes w/o a helmet was:  13.80 @ 103mph.  I hope to be in the low 13's or high 12's now, but traction is a major problem on street tires.

Other Stangs are a 1983/retro 1989 LX goof off project that I rebuilt a 3.8L EFI V-6 to drop in.  87 LX 4cyl H.B., and will be picking up an 86 notchback car this week for another project car.

New toys for the GT: Anderson Motorsports B3 blower cam, 42# bosh injectors.
